Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Officially Retired

After 10 years’ of ups and downs, the Xbox 360 is officially going to retire.

Microsoft has officially stopped the manufacturing of the Xbox 360. Globally 85.45 million units of this game console have been sold since the release in November 2005.

It’s speculated that the shut down will help sales of the Xbox One, as sales of the console have dwindled these past few years. In addition, Microsoft also enhanced its software. For example the Xbox One is now compatible with many classic Xbox 360 games, which greatly helped with enriching its potential game portfolio. In addition the Xbox One currently supports streaming with a Windows PC, which means gamers can enjoy the Xbox One games through a PC.

We are looking forward to seeing what Microsoft will bring for the Xbox One in the Electronic Entertainment Expo this June.
